Introducing: Floraceutical Farms

Aside from my artistic "side-hustle" Anahata Malas, I've been pouring myself into yet another soul-fulfilling project - Floraceutical Farms. Floraceutical Farms is my partner and I's small organic hemp farm nestled into the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. 

If you've known me for any amount of time, you have likely heard about how passionate I am about cannabis and how valuable I consider this plant medicine to be when it comes to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. I have witnessed truly incredible breakthroughs throughout my personal and professional life in the cannabis industry, from my time as a budtender in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and now as a hemp farmer in Northern California providing the medicine I have personally cultivated to those I love. 

Floraceutical Farms is founded on the belief that this plant medicine is capable of replacing many of the pharmaceuticals Western medicine pushes - drugs that have exceedingly harmful side effects, addictive qualities, and high expense. 

Contrary to first impression, we are not growing industrial hemp for use in fibers, textiles, or biofuels. We grow female hemp plants for their delectable flowers, exactly like medical and recreational cannabis, though the only real difference is the amount of active THC (the psychoactive chemical component of the cannabis plant) is under the federally legal limit of .3% when fully mature. The wonderful aromas, sticky buds, and tasty smoke are all exactly the same - minus the ‘high’. 

However, that’s not to say that these cultivars don’t have an effect. In fact, these cultivars, or strains, are high in other cannabinoids (chemical compounds found in cannabis). There are over 150 known cannabinoids in the cannabis genus, and we’ve chosen to grow strains high in specific cannabinoids that we find exceedingly therapeutic for a variety of uses.

CBG, or cannabigerol, is known as the ‘stem-cell’ cannabinoid. It’s the first cannabinoid to form as the plant develops, and usually breaks down into other compounds as the plant grows. The strain we have hand-selected, “The White”, remains high in CBG all the way through harvest. CBG has been affectionately named by the industry as “C-B-Giggly” for its mood-enhancing properties and ability to reduce anxiety. Studies have shown that CBG is also the primary cannabinoid known for reducing inflammation and attacking free radicals in the body. For more information on CBG, check out this article from Leafly.

CBDv (cannabidivarin), our other cultivar, is a cannabinoid that has not been widely known or experienced because it has traditionally been found in such minimal amounts in previous generations. Oregon CBD, the scientific masterminds behind the forward progression of cannabis breeding techniques, has claimed that CBDv “might just be the most relaxing plant on the planet.” We would have to agree. CBDv, in addition to being incredibly relaxing, has come to show amazing results in the reduction of severity and frequency of seizures. We believe firmly that the greatest benefit that cannabis can give us comes from incorporating all of the plant’s available cannabinoids. Known as the ‘entourage effect’, studies have shown that all of the cannabinoids work most effectively in the presence of each other. Meaning, the sum of the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. 

Therefore, all of our products are full-spectrum, THC and all (with the exception of our THC-free distillate for those who cannot have or do not want THC).

Our two full-spectrum tinctures have all of our cannabinoid blends together, though in different amounts. With 3500mg per bottle of cannabinoids, these are the strongest tinctures we are yet to find elsewhere on the market. With one dose of our Full Spectrum+, customers receive:
