The Lunar Eclipse and Blood Moon in Leo this weekend calls to the surface all that we have been struggling with. When we experience a full moon, it is a call for release, completion, and gratitude for the last cycle. As this is also a Blood Moon, we think about what it means to bleed: true release of a life-force energy. In old medicine, doctors would bleed their patients to cleanse them of infection or illness. Gratefully today we have moved far beyond that practice, but there is still medicine in the metaphor. As this Blood Moon relates to the zodiac sign of Leo, what we are bleeding is deeply from the heart-center. Heart-centered Leo is offering an opportunity for us to let go of what wounds have been stuck in our emotional center with bravery, courage, and compassion. It’s time to let the toxicity stuck in our hearts bleed out.
Leo also asks that we take the leadership position in our own lives. The situation you are faced with will not resolve itself on its own; it’s time to take aligned action. Aligned action happens when you’ve clarified what you need, put upon your own conditions of what you will and will not accept, and move forward in courage. Speak your truth without fear, and give yourself permission to have those difficult conversations. In doing this, you reclaim your power and take charge of the situation.
With this big push forward, you are reminded that you have already accumulated all the tools you need to usher your manifestations into reality. You have put in the hard work, you have spent the long nights thinking about what needs to happen, and you have taken the time to create something incredible. In the dead of winter it is easy to slip back into old belief patterns of self-detriment, dwell on your mistakes or losses, or to let self-doubt creep back in. The message today is to fight back against the negative self-talk. It is time to change the words that you speak to yourself and focus upon your strengths. You have come so far, why would you let yourself get in your own way? Leo reminds you that you are stronger than you think, and when you are aligned with your heart-center in this place of power, magic happens.
This moon also brings energetic healing. Your soul has been putting in the footwork, and here comes the reprieve. We are looking at our first glimpse at the heaven we are creating for ourselves here on Earth. It provides the release that we need and supplies deep healing. Do not be afraid to ask for assistance from your support team, whether that is your spirit guides, your family, your friends, your healer, or whomever comes to mind. Although the message delivered to you now is about strength, being brave also means that you are able to ask for help when you need it. You are asked to feed and nourish yourself with more compassion and self-love. Know that right now, you are healing. The entire Universe has conspired to bring you to this empowered place, because it knows just how powerful you are when you are in divine alignment.
Your mission is love, and you are the perfect facilitator. Own it and let it guide your way to what you have been creating.
